13 May: Debt and Climate Change: A Christian and Islamic Perspective

The Zawiya (Amina Trust)
1 Jenkins Street
Small Heath
Birmingham

13th May 2008 05:30pm to 08:00pm

What is the relation between debt and climate change? How do poor countries finance their international debt burden? How does deforestation exacerbate climate change? And what do Christianity and Islam say on this?

At the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the G8 meeting in Birmingham when 70,000 people formed a human chain to call onto leaders to 'drop the debt', the Midlands Islamic Network for the Environment (MINE) and Jubilee Debt
Campaign (JDC) are organising an evening to share a Christian and Islamic view on debt and climate change. Come, listen, learn and share!
