David Atkinson was Canon Chancellor of Southwark Cathedral and Diocesan Missioner from 1992-6. He went on to become Archdeacon of Lewisham 199-2001, the Bishop of Thetford in Norwich Diocese until his retirement in 2009. His most recent book is "Renewing the Face of the Earth: theological and pastoral responses to climate change". David currently holds the post of Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Southwark, doing odd bits for the diocese in between looking after grandchildren, and helping Sue on the allotment. all day
