Reports from the National Climate March and Global Day of Action on 8 December 2007

Operation Noah invited all its supporters to join the Climate Change March in London on 8 December. Operation Noah took part in the organisation of this event. If you came to the March, do email us your pictures or some words about your experience of the service and march and we will post them on the Operation Noah website . The March was a a great opportunity for our supporters to get together to voice our concerns about Climate Change.
News About the Service and March (updated 17 December 2007):
The service on Saturday was well attended (the Church was filled with people) and there were standing places only. The march was attended by about 10,000 people, despite torrential rain on Saturday in London.

Climate Change Service and March, 8 December 2007
Operation Noah invites all its supporters to join the Climate Change March in London on 8 December. Operation Noah is taking part in the organisation of this event and is organising a service of worship at St Matthews' Church before the start of the March (more details below). If you would like to come to the Service and March, do register on our website (if you have not already done so) and we will send you directions for meeting up with our staff and board members as well as other Operation Noah supporters on the day. This information will be sent to all registered users on our website by email, nearer the time of the march. Join people all around the world to demand that world leaders take the urgent action we need to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate. The National Demo in London will be one of many demonstrations on climate taking place all around the world on the same day, midway through the UN Climate Talks in Bali.
from 10:00 am: meet for coffee at St Matthews' Church, 20 Great Peter Street, London, SW1P 2BU (map) (nearest Tube station: St James' Park (Circle and District Lines); Victoria, Westminster and Pimlico Stations are also within walking distance of Great Peter Street). Great Peter Street runs into Millbank where people will gather for the march.
11: 00 to 11:45 am: Joint Operation Noah and Christian Ecology Link worship service at St Matthews' Church, 20 Great Peter Street, London, SW1P 2BU (map). Service organised by Christian Ecology Link, Operation Noah, EcoCongregation, and Student Christian Movement. Come and show that Christians care about climate justice, for our children's sake, for the earth's sake, for God's sake!
