RECONSIDER THE INCLUSION OF OIL COMPANIES IN THE 'ETHICAL' CHRISTIAN SHARES INDEX

On the 27th of April, 2010, the FT reported the launch of the Stoxx Europe Christian Index.

The index is comprised of 533 European companies that only derive revenues from sources approved "according to the values and principles of the Christian religion".

Operation Noah regrets the fact that the index includes the world's biggest oil producers, Royal Dutch Shell and British Petroleum.

"Operation Noah calls on the Chief Executive of the Stoxx Europe Christian Index, Hartmut Graf, to ensure that his group reconsiders the inclusion of Oil Exploration Companies in the Index.".
