(10 January) Operation Noah offers platform for budding writers and commentators. Become an Ark-tivist and run your own ON blog

We are very pleased to report that blogging is now enabled on the Operation Noah website for 'Ark-tivists'. If you are not familiar with blogs, you'll find below a definition from Wikipedia (1). We will be extremely happy to publish your views about Climate Change, read about your campaigning experience in churches, the books you are reading, your "green" Christmas, and so on and so forth... If you are quick enough, you may become the first person to create a blog on our website.

Some technical details follow, for those of you who already Ark-tivists. If you are not already an Ark-tivist, you need first to register as an Ark-tivist, by going to our register page.

How to create a blog:

You can create a blog entry by going to your blog page. The address you need to access is based on your username. If your username is 'Noah' you need to go to: http://www.operationnoah.org/blog/noah

You'll then see a link to "Post new blog entry." Posting a blog entry should be fairly straightforward. You can type in the title of your blog, then upload a picture or a film and type in the body of the text you want to publish and then just click submit and it should go live.

The content from all the blogs is then aggregated at:
http://www.operationnoah.org/blog

(or click on the menu at the top of page, under our logo, to access the blogs directly)

Note:

If you have any technical problem, e.g. uploading or cropping an image or formatting your text, or if you have forgotten your username, please get in touch with us and we'll help you out, including over the phone if need be. The Operation Noah team very much look forward to reading you.

(1) Blog: "A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. 'Blog' can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs". (Source: Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog)
