Climate Change and the Church's Social Teaching - A study guide for Church groups, schools, communities or anybody who is interested in reflecting on Climate Change from a catholic or wider faith perspective.
The guide is split into six main areas of content:1) The Common Good - The Catholic Church is committed to the Common Good which is undermined by Climate Change.
2) Option for the Poor - Climate Change hits the poorest hardest and this greatly concerns a Church committed to the Option for the Poor
3) Caring for God's Creation - Thankfulness for God's gift of the natural world and respecting it.
4) Human Dignity - Exploring the place humans have in relation to the rest of Creation.
5) Rights and Responsibilities - Individuals, parishes and schools can all take responsibility for promoting justice, peace and the integrity of creation and addressing Climate Change.
6) Sustainable Development - We must act on Climate Change to build a sustainable future.
The guide contains agendas for six meetings with accompanying appendices, reflection and action sheets, reading sheets, plus a "prayers and liturgies" section. The full guide can be downloaded here [1]>.
