The Birmingham Selly Park Climate Change group started as an Ecoteam last year. We organised recently a screening of the Climate Change documentary An Inconvenient Truth and a meeting entitled "Greening Birmingham Churches" (see a report of that event on the "Green in Brum website").

Activities

We are currently working on several projects and ideas: a) organising a meeting with the Local MP to lobby about the Climate Change bill; more generally the group will be working a little bit like an Amnesty International group where we will share informations and write letters to MPs and governments related to Climate Change; b) starting a church/community allotment in the Selly Park / Kings Heath area of Birmingham. The group is open to anybody living in the area and interested in Climate Change related issues and want to do something simple, but which works.
