Update on the Climate Change Bill (26 June 2008)

The Government's Climate Change Bill is now being debated in the House of Commons having been through the House of Lords at a leisurely pace earlier in the year. Second reading in the Commons took place on 9th June 2008. Operation Noah is disappointed that their Lordships did not make more use of the opportunity to stiffen the government's spine to go further, faster to drive down dangerous greenhouse gas emissions.

Is Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" really full of errors? (12 October 2007)

You may have heard that a UK judge has ruled that Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" is one-sided and contains nine errors. In fact the judge's ruling is more complicated and favourable than this, as he said that the award winning documentary is "broadly accurate" in its "presentation of the causes and likely effects of climate change" and that it can be shown in schools. It is unfortunate that the British press did not necessarily report this appropriately. We provide some information and links giving a more balanced view on the ruling, as well as some links related to the award of the Nobel Prize for Peace to Al Gore on Friday 12 October 2007.
