Churches Together in Britain and Ireland networks specialists across the churches, arranges regular meetings of Church Representatives - including periodic major Assemblies - and links the Churches to a wide range of inter-church organizations.
OneClimate is an initiative of OneWorld UK. They are a not-for-profit organisation, and their mission is ‘to leverage media innovatively for a fair and sustainable world’. They say, "clearly, we cannot have a fair and sustainable world without tackling climate change."
This is a coalition of environmental and development NGOs concerned to see urgent action on climate change.
On 3 October 2008 the Prime Minister announced the creation of a new Department of Energy and Climate Change which will be able to give an even greater focus to solving the twin challenges of climate change and energy supply. Ed Miliband is Secretary of State for the new department.
