As the impacts of climate change become increasingly visible and scientists warn multiple climate tipping points may soon be crossed, the need for a strong Christian witness has never been greater. As followers of Christ, we are called to look after the earth that God has entrusted to us (Genesis 2:15), caring for both our global neighbours and for future generations.
Yet just as this work has become more urgent, our financial situation has become more challenging. We are finding it increasingly difficult to secure long-term funding from trusts and foundations. This means that we are having to make difficult decisions about our future at the very moment churches are looking for climate leadership, resources and encouragement.
Which is why this newsletter is a bit different than normal. This month we are asking all of our supporters – both churches and individuals – to consider giving monthly to our work.
