Church Investment videos and webinars

The story of how a small Christian campaign took on the global giants of the fossil fuel industry and inspired a UK-wide Church movement for divestment away from oil and gas. Featuring interviews with Operation Noah staff and trustees and Church investors like the Quakers in Britain and the United Reformed Church, including input from Bill McKibben, this mini documentary tells the story of how the UK church took action on the climate crisis by divesting their money away from fossil fuel producing companies.

Catholic leaders gathered in London for Operation Noah’s Green Investment Roundtable, exploring how to leverage the Church’s financial power to combat climate change. Experts discussed aligning investments with ethical goals, building a community of practice, and taking bold action. The event emphasized the urgency of climate action and the need for greater investment in solutions.

Paul Parker, Recording Clerk of Quakers in Britain, talks to Operation Noah about their journey to green investment and why the Quakers signed the Green Investment Declaration.

This webinar brings us up to date on the science of why more climate action is so important, but also explains how we already have solutions which can make a huge difference.

Dr. Martin Hodson, an environmental scientist who works with the John Ray Initiative presents the science of the urgency of more climate action, and the climate solutions which are most useful for investing to make a difference.

Revd Margot Hodson, Director of Theology and Education at John Ray Initiative and a priest in the Church of England presents the theological side of why Churches and Christians need to take action in this area.

The second in a series of two webinars to launch the new Green Investment Declaration, this session explores how to engage in this initiative and move faith-held funds into climate solutions.

Rosie Venner from JustMoney Movement hosts a panel including Clare Fussell, Campaign Director at Operation Noah, Catherine Dewitt and Mathew Jensen from FaithInvest, and Mike Sturgess, Chair of Truro Diocesan Board of Finance.
