Read what church leaders such as Bishop of Liverpool James Jones, Bishop of London Richard Chartres, Archbishop of Cardiff Peter Smith and Moderator-Elect of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church Rev John Marsh have to say in support of Operation Noah.

Why do we exist?

Operation Noah exists because God's creation faces the most urgent peril, which, to be averted, requires a rapid and radical transformation of our economy and culture - towards liveable, supportable lifestyles.

Who are we?

We are an inclusive group of committed Christians from across Britain with a London-based office. We welcome people of faith, and none. Operation Noah was founded in 2001 by Christian Ecology Link (CEL) and later became a joint project of of CEL and the Environmental Issues Network of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. It was the first Christian campaign to focus exclusively on the issue of Climate Change and this continues to be its mission.

Mission

To encourage Britain and Ireland's churches and governments to lead a radical transformation in both our culture and economic systems; a transformation towards simpler, liveable and supportable lifestyles that will increase happiness and well-being, while safeguarding the whole of God's creation for future generations.

Goals

Our core goal is for the British government to urgently enact legislation that will fairly and equitably drive down average carbon dioxide emissions to 1 tonne per person by 2030.
