Ash Wednesday ‘No Faith in Fossil Fuels’ Service at St John’s Waterloo + Prayer Vigil

20 February 2025

This Ash Wednesday, 5 March, a coalition of Christian charities including Operation Noah will hold a ‘No Faith in Fossil Fuels’ service of reflection, repentance and hope at St John’s Waterloo in London – an opportunity to connect Ash Wednesday observance with the harm fossil fuels are causing.

The hour-long service will begin at 11am and will be followed by a 24-hour prayer vigil outside the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, Whitehall, as we collectively try and stop to all new UK oil and gas developments and put an end to the destructive fossil fuel era.
