2024 marks 20 years since Operation Noah was founded, and we’ve seen a lot of progress over this time. As a result of campaigning, the UK Church is now taking the climate crisis more seriously, and we rejoice that most UK Church bodies have now divested from fossil fuels.
However, we’ve also seen the increasingly severe impact of climate change, and we know the battle is far from won.
Join us in celebrating 20 years of climate campaigning and educational work with UK churches by coming along to our anniversary service, planting a tree in our name, or giving to support our work. The next 20 years will be crucial in the fight against climate change, and we need your support.
Celebrate at our anniversary service
We are excited to announce that Dr Rowan Williams will give the address at a special service of celebration to mark 20 years of Operation Noah. We’d love to see you there on Monday 18th November at St John’s Waterloo, so save the date and watch out for a communication soon to secure your seat.
Plant a tree for Operation Noah
One of the most positive things we can do for the climate is to grow more trees. These act as a carbon sink and provide shade, cooling and habitats for wildlife. This is why we’re asking supporters and churches to plant and look after a tree to celebrate our anniversary.
Give us an anniversary gift
In our anniversary year, could you or your church make a monthly donation to help us continue our vital work? To make a donation visit operationnoah.org/20-year-anniversary-appeal.
Or would you consider a 20-mile sponsored hike, cycle ride or run to support our work? Or perhaps bake and sell 20 cakes, or arrange a sponsored 20-hour film marathon?
Email us at and let us know about your fundraising idea – we hugely appreciate your support!
And please share our Anniversary Card with your networks, to look back at the progress of the last 20 years, and to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
