On Monday 18 November 2024, join us for a 20th Anniversary Service featuring Rowan Williams as we celebrate two decades of inspiring the Church to take action on the climate crisis.
The 6.30pm service will be held in the beautifully restored St John’s Waterloo – a short walk from London Waterloo Station – and we’re encouraging you to reserve your free ticket here.
At our 18 November service – which will be held during COP29 and comes on the heels of a 16 November COP Climate March in London – we’ll not only look back at all that has been achieved, but also look ahead at the challenges we face and what we can do together.
The service of thanksgiving and prayer will feature:
- An address by the former Archbishop of Canterbury, author and renowned theologian Dr Rowan Williams on ‘The Climate Crisis and the Church: What Can We Do Next?’
- Scripture readings, prayers and powerful stories of climate action
- Reflections from Church leaders, campaigners and Operation Noah trustees
- A drinks reception with light refreshments to follow the service
We’re expecting a strong turnout and don’t want you to miss your chance to join us – book your free ticket now to ensure that you don’t miss this inspiring, thought-provoking service.
We’re also excited to announce that we are now more than halfway towards meeting our Anniversary Fundraising goal of £20,000 and are inviting you to help us by donating here.
Our campaign is completely funded by generous donations from individuals, churches and trusts, and without your support, we couldn’t achieve our ambitious goal of transforming Church investments and Church land use for the good of our Common Home.
As well as giving a donation, could you also ask your church to consider funding Operation Noah over the coming year? Or perhaps you could take on a sponsored challenge in support of Operation Noah? If so, email us at – we’d love to hear from you.
